The Leica coupled meters are generally not all that fantastic. For
$89 or less, a brand new Gossen Pilot 2 is a fairly good meter that is
handy and easy to use; I keep one in my Leica kit bag at all times. At
about double that price, there are a number of excellent meters available.

I have a Minolta Autometer II which I've been using with superb results
for
the past 18 years. They show up used at swap meets for around $100
typically
and are more than worth the money. I also have a Gossen Luna Pro which has
been a real workhorse for the past 29 years, also findable for very
reasonable dollars in the used market.

I tend to prefer to buy light meters new as they can be a little fragile.
Which is why I recommend the Gossen Pilot 2 for a sub-$100 meter. A
Calculite
meter is also quite a good buy, but it will be more expensive than that.
