Well the saga of the 35-70/f3.5 vario-elmar that wiggled and finally locked
up, is over!! I exchanged it for a 28-70/f3.5-4.5 vario-elmar which arrived
today. It also is used, mint. No wiggle of any kind, very tight. Looks
great and looks sharp through the viewfinder. Slightly smaller app at 4.5,
but now have a 28mm of sorts. Don't have this length for my M6. I got the
slides back from the other one and they were very acceptable - quite good.
Now if this one will take good pics???? Will let you know.

How are the Metz strobes??? Looking at the 32Z-2 or 32MZ-3. Perhaps the
40MZ-2. I have used Metz before, had a 60ct-4 - too big. Is the 40MZ-2
overkill with the R7??? Wonder what an R8 will have???

Thanks for all the advice - without exception to send the other lens back as
quick as I could. Boy did it ever lock up. Something must have slipped out
of grove. Dick
