Well, I can imagine that he has used about that many cameras in his life. But I'm still curious about the real number. Also, I'd like to know how many of his Leicas still work today. Did he ever have to throw one away because it didn't work anymore? The only person I've heard of wearing out an M camera was David Vestal. And Mike Johnstone, editor of Photographic Techniques (or whatever the magazine that used to be Darkroom and Creative Camera Techniques - not the Larry Flint publication, the other one - can't ever remember its name) tells us on Compuserve that Vestal can't afford to replace it. Such is the life of the famous photo magazine writers. A certain other magazine editor I won't mention because he's not here to defend himself should be so lucky he could take a picture to save his life, or compare with anything Vestal does, and he has camera equipment coming out the wazoo! There is no justice in the world. :-P ========================== Eric Welch Grants Pass Daily Courier
