How about telling us your name so we know who we are talking to?

First of all, tell us what film you are using, what developer and 
time/temperature. Are you using a meter? What meter? What kind of light 
are you shooting in, and what general settings? That will help us figure 
out in a ball park generalization if you're on the right track. 

Believe me, Leica lenses don't have a problem being contrasty, unless 
they're damages or full of fungus or something. Which I doubt is your 
problem.
