A lot of the pricing of used Leica items is tremendously volatile and
fluctuates wildly. At the moment, M3 and M4 prices are sky-high, M2 and M6
prices are declining, and M4-2, M4-P and M5 prices are starting to climb.
But this will all change in a month or a year -- once the collectors have
engorged themselves on M4's, these prices will stabilize or fall, and
something else will rise. It all depends on the day of the month!

At some point in the future, M4's will bottom out and, at some point in the
future, their prices will rise again -- it's a cycle, just like the tides.

Of course, the entire collectable market is 'drying up' as the final WWII
era treasure troves are surfacing. Thus, the swing in Leica pricing may
change in the future.

The long and short of it is that an M4 owner desiring an M6 ought to
consider swapping now, when M4's are up and M6's down -- this may not be the
case a year from now.
