Except you have to unscrew the lens to do it, and how long does *that* take? What I do is shove a piece of scrap 120 film (with the emulsion cleaned off, but this may be over-fussy) into the film path, hard against the cassette side, as far down as it'll go. You can feel something click when you've got it. Then push the cassette and takeup spool down into place with the film behind this. I used banknotes for this until a few years ago, but since the Scottish one- pound note started going out of circulation I can't count on having a clean, crisp one in my pocket any more. Anything with similar thickness and rigidity will work. What *is* that doodad down there that gets in the way, anyhow? (And what photographic use is a pound coin? you can't even unscrew battery covers with them, they're too fat...) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- jack@purr.demon.co.uk - Jack Campin, 2 Haddington Place, Edinburgh EH7 4AE Replied: 5 Apr 96 15:40
