My point was simply that though only a small portion of the overall camera
market over the past 75 years, if one looks at the used equipment shelves of
most dealers, or the ads in magazines, what one sees is a proportion of
Leica equipment at odds with the marks historical market share.

While there are are several reasons that one can attribute this to, the most
obvious is the longevity of the product.  Sorry if I wasn't clearer in my
original posting.  And, while I appreciate that this is well understood by
the readers of this list, the comment was made in response to an issue that
seemed relevant at the time, but which now eludes me. <g>
