I had a mint 90/2.8 Elmarit-M and the focusing was fine; out of
interest, it was easier than my Nikkor 105/2.5 MF and no worse than
anything else. I exchanged it for a Tele-Elmarit 90/2.8 late version
because it was just too big to walk around with on the camera and still
hope to look inconspicuous. Nice lens though.

If I had this stiff focusing ring problem with a Leica lens I'd be on
the phone to the Leica service dept asking them what can be done to fix
it, how much, and how soon!
