It was made in Wetzlar and it focuses in exactly the same way that Tom Hodge described above. For fast action photos, I've had to go back to using my Nikkor 105/f2.5 manual focus lens on a Nikon N90s. It's a lot smoother and quicker. But I'd like to hear from other users if there's anything that can be done about the Elmarit-M to make it more "user friendly". Will increased use solve this problem? I was thinking of writing a letter to Leica to ask them about it. If so, whom can I contact?
