Subject: fast APO zoom for Leica R

I stumbled across a German online photo magazine and encountered the
following page:

http://www.fotoline.ch/pho/aktuell/apozoom.htm

which is an article about a new fast APO zoom from Leica for R
cameras. This sounds like an interesting lens, but what puzzles me is
that the article apparently has a typo in it -- it says "...The
Vario-APO-Elmarit-R 2,8/70 80mm is made up of 13 elements in 10 groups
and uses 12 distinct optical glasses, including five special
low-dispersion glasses..."

They go on to talk about its sharpness and brilliance. Sounds like a
nice lens. It's heavy -- 1870g -- but only 19cm long.

But, uh, a 70-80mm zoom? Has anyone else on the list heard of this
lens, and do you know what the long end actually is? (180mm or 280mm,
presumably?)
