If you have an SL the menu is a breeze. It will be slower than you SL due
to the Maestro 3 vs 4. The later Leica lenses will make focusing very easy
as they "snap" into focus. If using a vintage Summicron then you will need
to set up the focus magnification system that works for you. My issue is
that my nose touches the back screen so the focus point ends up in the top
left corner. Be resetting the topplate button by the shutter release to
center the focus pointer that annoyance is gone. Otherwise it's an M that
lets you use a 10mm to an 800mm with Elon. I'm going to the London LSI
shoot with a Canon 50 .95, a Nikon 28 F2 and possibly a Zeiss 100 F2. The
older SLR lenses because they focus closer than M natively and that is a
plus.
