All,

I know I've posted a few comments recently, but not posted any photos. 
There has been a reason!

First of all I want to publicly thanks Brian who made a huge 
contribution towards helping me sort out the mess I found myself in.

Now read on...

A few weeks ago I was asked to submit a photo elsewhere. I made my mind 
up which one and went looking for it. To my dismay I couldn't find it - 
the only copy was in the Gallery. It's this one:

which has always been a favourite!

As I did more digging I realised that down the years through a house 
fire, two floods, several house moves and various other things at least 
a large chunk of my archive had gone missing, backups and all.

Thanks to Brian, I was able to retrieve all of my images from the LUG 
although it took a huge amount of effort at this end! I managed to 
locate a number of CDs going back to the early 2000s as well as various 
other files and I have got most of it back together again, though there 
are some that may be gone for ever.

Then my RAID10 partially failed! That has now been mostly rebuilt, but 
there's still a lot of sorting to do.

Somewhere in this story there's a moral ;-)
