That must have been an interesting conference.  I see a trend to make
advances as opaque as possible to make reverse engineering as slow a
possible; the rate of change is so quick for the leaders that even a few
months delay will be critical to leadership in a field.  Silicon Valley on
steroids is how I see the future.
