I had this done 15 or so years ago. I chose equal correction and wear
glasses as I have since childhood. The surgeon choose slightly different
corrections for each eye so technically I don't have to wear glasses but my
vision is much clearer at the only cost bring expensive very light frames.
The surgery itself is a cakewalk if you have selected a great surgeon. Do
your homework there as I have too many friends who had sub optimal results
with a budget surgeon.

If having an excellent depth perception is important the don't choose the
near/far correction for each eye. I am a bit too conservative to go for
the progressive inserts but they can be replaced if unsatisfactory.

All the best.
