Black and White Winter Afternoon in Bellevue, Maryland. Bellevue is a small, historic town located on the Tred Avon River on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Back in the day it was the home of many of the black people who worked in the local sea food industry. Oxford, a much better known tourist attraction, is located on the other side of the river. There is a ferry which runs between Bellevue and Oxford. If you are ever in the area it is a lot of fun to take a ride on the ferry just for the sheer joy of going for a boat ride!
