At least you had the chance to see it!
I got a message yesterday from a friend who was expecting to see a total
*solar* eclipse out in the Far East, but he said that he had missed most
of it due to Chinese New Year (15th day thereof) celebrations. Smoke and
fireworks spoilt the viewing :-(
