Had to make a quick trip back south. We just left a few weeks ago and
all was fine. My father-in-law saw his doctor after we left and some
suspicious blood work sent him to the ER. BP through the roof, pulse
below 30 and some bad kidney markers. Long story short, he had a
pacemaker put in on Monday and was home on Wednesday. Was going well
yesterday but today not so much. So, we are here for whatever he needs
to get back on track.
While in the hospital I saw an old tech device sitting beside his bed.
I guess with all the high tech equipment it kind of stood out as odd.

I guess their paging system was not working. You could hear bells every
so often echoing down the hall. The bathroom had a similar low tech
solution.
