Thanks, Jayanand! Wroclaw is indeed rich in public art, and not too many statues of political and historical figures. There is a statue of a Polish 19th century writer on the main square Rynek, uncontroversial (and it was there when I was a child in communist times). Warsaw is different, there are many statues of the (not always great) figures of public life.
