Greetings to all.  My neighborhood is very diverse.  It was originally a
neighborhood for the largely Hispanic blue collar community supporting the
two major industries at the time; state government and the universities
including UT.  There was a strong dividing line N\S between the white
collar and the blue collar neighborhoods in all respects; religions,
schools, parks, lot sizes, rear facing garages vs street parking etc.

Like many cities moving past the late 50's and early 60's the neighborhoods
started to merge and become more diverse in all the ways listed above.
Mostly it's about location; as you get closer to the things you live in a
city the cost of housing goes up precipitously.  Some of the people that
can afford housing double the median house price start to be less
influenced by cultural norms and begin to walk their own path.

This has been a long winded way of saying the folks in my neighborhood can
and do interesting things with their outward facing appearance:
