It has been pointed out to me that I made a typo.  Of course, I have not
eaten cookies only 17 years.  That would be ridiculous. That was suppose
to be 75 years.  The rest is all true.

In my 60 years of being a scientist and my 17 years of being a cookie
eater, I have never seen this in the wild.  Cookie Mitosis.  Actually
dividing before my eyes.  I have eaten a lot of bags of cookies and this
is a first.  I, of course, have seen this in the laboratory of home
baking, but thought it might just be an artifact due to the controlled
environment of the laboratory.  But no, not true.  There was an example
of cookie mitosis in another bag earlier this week but  my wife ate it
before I could document it.  I did not think I would ever see it again,
then low and behold, the bag we opened today had the dividing cookies
there for me to capture it.  I did so before the cookie monster (My
wife) got hold of this one.

Now, I am still waiting to see an amoeba in the wild.  Been looking for
60 years.  I am convinced they only exist in the labs of Carolina
Biological Supply that they sell to classrooms.
