To get to a medical facility, I travel on Commerce Street, which runs
along the Milwaukee River north of downtown. In 1970 it was an
industrial area, and it provided me with subjects for a picture story
on pollution. This was a few months after the 1st Earth Day. Back
then I found this derelict Chevrolet near the Humboldt Boulevard
bridge over the river, and today stopped to capture the same view 56
years later. The new picture is more of a wide shot, but can be
enlarged to show the (replacement) Humboldt bridge in the distance.

The river has been cleaned up and is now lined by condos.
