This year, I went to two Holy Week processions on Friday. In the morning, I attended a procession with the sentencing of Jesus as the theme. In the afternoon, I went to a low-rent neighbourhood called Carolinas, where the procession was about the sorrow of Virgin Mary on seeing her son crucified. I liked this second procession a lot, as it was in a part of Alicante where no tourist ever sets foot, so the ambience was very intimate and friendly. A gallery of the two processions is here:
