These are pretty commonplace scenes in Indiana. The big difference here is that people are almost entirely patriotic toward the USA as a whole; while in Texas there is a lot more attachment to the state. Texans I have met seem to see themselves as Texans first, then Americans second. Nobody here flies our state flag, like Texans do!
