After my couple of days in Copenhagen, I went to my hometown Aarhus in Jutland. I have posted my photos from there over the years, but this time I visited one place that I do not visit often—the open air museum Den Gamle By (“the Old Town”), reproducing urban environments from the 16th to the 20th centuries, and Aarhus Ø, a completely new part of town built on reclaimed land in the harbour, now home to thousands of people and some of the most impressive modern architecture anywhere. Aarhus is more or less the same size as Alicante, with about 350,000 inhabitants, but it beats many much larger cities in terms of cultural offerings and life in general.
