A month and a bit after my last phone call to my camera shop, I rang 
them again.

Has my new Fuji X100VI arrived by any chance?
No, it hasn't. We're very sorry.

Oh, that's very frustrating. It's been over two months since I ordered it.
I'm afraid there are a lot of frustrated people on the waiting list like 
you.

Are there many ahead of me?
Yes, there are nine and a lot more behind you.

So, I'm tenth. When am I likely to get delivery of it?
Supply has been very erratic, so it's hard to tell.

Do you think I might get it next month?
We don't know, but it's not very likely going on what we're seeing..

The month after?
We don't know and can't promise anything...

At this point I wandered into non-sequiturs about geopolitics. However, 
I'm not in a hurry and can survive. That said, I thought I'd have it 
before June when I initially ordered it in early March. That TikTok has 
a lot to answer for.
