Little Mahagonny, by Kurt Weill, was part of the first year of Texas Opera
Theater,  performed  in a nightclub in downtown Houston. They were
sensational performances, unlike any way you have ever experienced opera
before  – gitty and tough works well in a gritty, slightly dirty downtown
