Hi there –

My memory is a little vague after five decades, but I heard that the
production of Daughter of the Regiment by Gaetano Doniztti. coincided with
the Super Bowl. Beverly Sills entered stage left. A soldier on stage right
asked "What is the news?" Sills replied with the football score:
