Bob was always the consummate gentleman in a very kind way. He always asked when and where I was giving a slide show or a book reading in OKC, and he'd show up and say supportive things in a genuine way. And he loved his Leica's. He will be missed.

Just got word that my good friend Bob Baron has passed away, I suppose making the Oklahoma City LUG nonexistent. He was a victim of Covid on New Years Eve.

We became acquaintances after my son Eric started to University in that city. We toured the city he loved and I got to know many great ethnic restaurants and locales because of him.

Bob was image based, and though he liked the equipment, prints were his main interest, not gear.

I’ll miss him, even though we haven’t visited in person in a while, we kept up by phone and email.

Here he is in better times.
