Thank you for speaking up about new optical paint brushes. While I believe
that a collection of vintage lenses will produce as interesting results;
the new entrants in the field of lens defect enjoyment will be much
appreciated as the old school repair folk leave the field.
As you may have seen, I have been introducing vintage lenses into my weekly
posts, hoping to encourage our members to go outside and find interesting
things to photograph. Your review brings up an old enjoyment of trying new
tools to change the look and feel of our images. I do certainly enjoy the
clinical look achievable with the new designs. That doesn't mean that the
older designs don't have a lot of appeal for the look.
It may be just me, but I think these older lenses do "look" better when in
B&W.
