I got a phone call from V. Roger Rubin, a LUG lurker and reliable 
yearbook contributor, who said he had talked to John Lee's daughter, who 
told him that John had died in September. Because it was a phone call 
and not an email I can't refer back to it for more detail, but the sad 
news does appear to be true.
