This abstract image is a Polaroid Image Transfer depicting rust on the old 1978 Chevy Pickup that my father used to have. He bought it brand new in 78, and it began to rust soon after he bought it. A common problem with 1970s-era automobiles! He still had it when I made this photo in the late 1990s. Eventually it became unsafe to drive, which is unfortunate because it was in good mechanical condition; the engine and transmission ran great up to the very end.
