Regarding the benefits of higher sensor resolution, I found that my 61mp
model and 25mp model Sony cameras produce images that are visually
equal, at least the way I process the files.  I now carry the 25mp compact
model Alpha 7c only.  (The Sony bodies are modified by KoloriVision's Ultra
Thin sensor cover to make them Leica M lens compatible.)  I do run the
image files through Topaz's AI Gigapixel (which does make a difference).  I
can barely detect the difference in sensor resolution when otherwise
identical test shots are displayed on the monitor at several hundred times
the native monitor resolution.  Carrying a heavier load for the difference
between 25 and 60 MP resolution is, in my view, a bad trade off.
