I will just add that most of the current M lineup will not deliver the full
capabilities of the new sensor. On a conference call with the chief lens
designer he admitted that the current ASPH Summilux line was optimized for
40mp. So the APO Summicrons will be very desirable moving forward with the
new cameras coming. As to IBIS, if Leica gets the high ISO performance up
to par then with the lenses you use on an M you will not especially need
it. The M platform usually lets you shoot much slower shutter speeds than
other cameras. I always thought it was the viewfinder let you hold the
camera steadier as your eye could hold a point in the viewfinder steady.
We will see.
