[Leica] Friday Flower: cotton

I had quite forgotten how lovely the cotton fields are when the fields are
in full bloom. Not quite like cherry blossoms in Macon, GA but when seen
over thousands of hectares on the MS delta very impressive. Not frequently
seen today as most farmers mix it up with soybeans, rice, sorghum, and
other niche crops including fodder plants. Computers have made looking at
futures and balancing input costs with locked in income(potentially) quite
a common skill set employed.

The drought on the plains has made fodder quite profitable as you can get
two or three crops in with far less input costs and the folks raising
cattle and even goats are purchasing a lot of hay right now. The pleasure
riding horse folks are very unhappy at what they are paying for hay
currently.
