Thanks Brian. I think it was just between my iol.ie email and the Lug. 
My little used hotmail which I only use as backup, seemed to work.
iol.ie has passed through a huge number of owners in the 25 years plus 
since I started to use it, and is probably a low maintenance priority 
for its current owner.
