[Leica] Testing macro lenses - thoughts on methodology ?

With the release of the iPhone 13 with its macro capability I wondered how it might compare with mirrorless cameras using macro lenses.

But I’m a bit stuck trying to figure out a methodology that might be useful.

I’m thinking that I’ll only use JPG files produced by the cameras’ standard settings. Use lights for consistency. Use the best ISO for the camera. Try to frame the images the same.

Other ideas? 

I’ll be using:

Sony A7Riii (90mm macro)
Fujifilm X-T3 (80mm macro)
Leica SL2-S (using the 100mm APO R lens)
iPhone 13 pro max

I could, I suppose, go the RAW route. I’d process in Capture One.

Thoughts? This is sort of a “wild hare” idea but would be fun.

I’d use a selection of small flowers in several colors.
