Thank you all for the birthday greetings. Today I turned 72, and I think 
I've earned every one of those years. I won't settle for 39.

Et merci à mes amis francophones. Tu sais qui tu es. J'ai découvert 
qu'il était plus facile pour moi d'écrire à Lluis en français qu'en 
anglais, alors j'ai pris cette habitude en dialoguant avec lui. D'autres 
d'entre vous se sont joints à vous. Merci pour les vœux d'anniversaire.

I was on airplanes most of the day. Now that I have moved to San Diego, 
the trip to visit my mother in Maine has become longer than one day, so 
I am now in a tourist hotel along the road between Boston and Maine.

(J'étais dans l'avion presque toute la journée. Maintenant que j'ai 
déménagé à San Diego, le voyage pour rendre visite à ma mère dans Maine 
est devenu plus long qu'une journée, je suis donc maintenant dans un 
hôtel de tourisme le long de la route entre Boston et Maine.)
