I'm glad your wife recognizes Texas as a foreign country. If it gets too
weird then the Montrose or West University/ museum district in Houston are
recognizable as US. Of course Austin resembles most University towns. If
you are tired of people then wander out to the Davis mountains/ Marfa
local. At best it is twenty acres to support a cow and the human
population is much, much less.
