[Leica] My students

I wish I were doing my undergrad work today. I’d love to be able to replicate some of today’s seminal molecular genetic techniques in lab courses!

BTW: Sony RX-100, yay! I haven’t seen a new image from this camera posted in a long time. I’ve had mine for years (gen 1, I think) and still love it. Your post reminds me to take it out tomorrow and see if it still beats the iPhone.

One of my early images with it, from 11 years ago: http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/hlritter/gallery_003/DSC00258.jpg.html <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/hlritter/gallery_003/DSC00258.jpg.html>

Here are my students hard at work grinding up some insect abdomen tips to extract the mRNA (familiar term to the public now) in the first step at looking at neurotransmitters that may be expressed there. They had excellent results on this first step. Just taken with my little Sony RX-100, but the Q2 is sure to follow.
