I spent a few weeks quarantined after a couple of positive test results in the family (everyone is well now) so being restricted to my patch of dirt I asked myself how much wildlife photography is possible in my yard?

A month more or less of birds:

The Oak Titmouse (Baeolophus inornatus) is an elusive little fluffball who has a weakness for safflower seed, sunflower seed and suet. I lured this bird within camera range with these treats

The birdbath turned out to be a hot spot

The Ruby-crowned Kinglet (Regulus calendula) was also interested in the suet treats

I spent a day trimming trees on my property and found among the trimmed limbs one with gorgeous lichen growth and I said to myself 'this would be an awesome prop in the backyard Avian Portrait Studio'. Adding tasty bribes brought a number of birds to the Lichen Log.
