[Leica] TECH - HELP : LR experts' advice (much) needed

Before you do something that will destructively act, try this:

Try opening one of the catalogs, preferably the newest one. ( this will
trigger the opening of LR and load this).
Go to where the catalog file is located and open that file. This will
launch LR.

There is also the possibility that the file location is lost. This is fixed
by right clicking on the file and asking LR to find the lost catalog.
