Do what you can to protect those ears, Douglas. I was exposed to high 
decibel noise throughout my working life, and thought I protected my 
ears.  But now, 30 years later, I have essentially no sensitivity in my 
left ear, and very little high frequency sensitivity in the right 
without a hearing aid. It can be very frustrating if you miss words in 
family conversation.
