Douglas, it was the end result of a week that two cycling artists spent in residence in the village. He painted a portrait of a local a day. And she collected sounds bits from the community and the environment. The town-hall and the fire-brigade association were involved (Alice is now the deputy-mayor) and I was summoned to attend and take pictures ;-) The kids now back to school, spent a morning with the artists, and their paintings were part of the exhibits. Also, a local Poets’ Society read out some of their works, written in the form of acrostics based on the names of the sitters.

The whole thing was strange, but was nevertheless part of progressively resuming a sort of normal life ...

Keep kicking and clicking, wearing a face-mask !
