Good catch! I didn't even notice that myself. The flag DOES only have 48 stars. The American flag was changed to 50 stars in 1950 when Alaska and Hawaii both became states. The flag on the house was not old, it looked new. Wonder why they are using a version of the flag that ceased to be the official American flag 70 years ago??
