Hi Don,

Thank you! Yes the Monochrom delivers a outstanding gradation, however the overall look is for me too digital, and despite its tonal quality I prefer the film look, even if it looks more “imperfect” . In my opinion where the Monochrom exhibited his best is available light / night pictures. For me the artistic purpose is not perfection, this is what the manufacturers of cameras and optics spread nowadays, I cannot consider that beauty is a consequence of perfection nor of technology. A few days ago I saw a very funny video about this, a photographer tells another one that he works with film if it wouldn't be easier for him to work in digital, to which he replies "Have you ever touched a fake pair of tits?", and adds that what is apparently beautiful does not mean that it is authentic.
