Five takes today - the last one is BW


The first three illustrate a point made by Xavier B on the Leicareflex list, who remembered well extremely poor sanitary conditions on the road back from Saqqarah. 


Here, a canal in Cairo in which I even saw the decaying carcass of a horse ...

And yet people live and work there - this street stank like hell and I felt sick over the two or three miles of its length ...

On a lighter note, I also felt sorry for this poor chap, for other reasons bringing me back in time ...
