Hi there –


Dr. Joseph Maddy was the founder of the Interlochen Music Academy in
Michigan. Every year he made a pilgrimage to various high schools to
audition young musicians who might qualify for scholarships.


He was photographed conducting the student orchestra at Tascosa High School
in Amarillo, Texas. It was but two years old; the auditorium was equipped
with a modern piece of lightning-bolt lighting.
