Brian,

I had surgery about 8 years ago, I have asked the Dr. I had no problem to use glasses for read, the important thing for me was that I can focus precisely with the rangefinder, they have put a lens behid the eye and after that moment I can doing perfect focus but for reading I need glasses.

I pondered the question you are asking, and ended up going with one eye set at reading distance and the other at about 15 feet. I have worn glasses for 65 years and figured I could continue to put glasses on and take them off as needed.
