   Beaumont’s Mobil refinery exploded September 17, 1970. As it turned out,
I was off that day. I knew about a back-door road that led to the refinery.
Just as I took this picture, a pickup with a number of refinery workers
drove by, slowed, and said “Don’t you go in there!” No problem.
