[Leica] LUG Year Book

My impression is the number of people here on the Lug shooting with Leica's has gone up in part with the huge boom the Leica company has gone through coming out with four new cutting edge innovative camera systems giving all kinds of options some not in the pie in the sky financial range. Maybe we should do a survey on what people are shooting with?
New Systems:
1. SL-series (full-frame sensor) But M and R adaptors for it.
2. TL- and CL-series (APS-C sensor with matched lenses) (M and R adaptors)
3. S-series reflex (digital medium format)
4. Q-series (Brian's new camera)
I was bothered with the first Yearbook issues so few Luggers bothering to get out their old Leica's and makes some images for their yearbook submissions instead just using their more easy friendly cheap everyday cameras. But I've gotten used to it. Me. I submitted mainly Leica images.
I would draw the line on cell phone photos in the LUG yearbook....even if one comes out with a red dot on it.
I think if you're interested in photography it should compel you to put your cellphone down for 40 seconds long enough to get the shot with a camera around your neck or in your side bag. Keep in mind you can talk and text as you shoot the pix with a camera. But not if you're using the camera in your cell phone.

But the big news being the Leica L mount which by next issue will make a big dent in the way things are going down with people using real Leica glass on all kinds of cameras and all kinds of glass on their Leica cameras of various brand names like Panasonic and Sigma for starters both in full frame and 1.5x cropped. This is going to make for more Leica stuff making images going into the yearbook. If not the camera than the lens
I'll be using a new Nikkor lens on a current Nikon DSLR. I'm excited about my work and that’s now I'm doing it.
But I can see the L mount making it much more possible to start getting back to using Leica products.
And it's looking real good for getting my existing case of M glass going especially as I'm more open now to cropped (1.5x) sensors.

I have come to the decision not to participate unless it is a LEICA yearbook and not a yearbook of general photographs taken on everything there is. If non-Leica images are deemed to be acceptable by others making decisions, then at the very least there should be a clear differentiation (i.e. a separate section) for the non-Leica images at the back of the book after the Leica section.

As for general thoughts on the time frame, and because a number of people are shooting less with their Leicas, would it be an idea for these to be done every five years thus allowing for a (hopefully) bigger submission.
